As it is happening, Day 35, Wednesday, October 8, Victoria VI BC Ferry Station, 5540 miles

We are now lined up waiting to board the ferry COHO to Port Angeles, Washington, USA.  There has been a change of plans since my friend Peter F. cannot get to Bainbridge Island for lunch tomorrow.  When we land, we will head 45 mikes west on 101 to the Klahowya National Forest camp on the Sol Duc River in a temperate rain forest.  Then tomorrow we will head southwest on the peninsula and then along the coast to somewhere.  From here on, i plan on a day by day basis.

Sadly, this is my last posting from Canada, for this trip anyway.  What wonderful dogs, people, scenery, roads, wildlife, and adventures, all of whom/which i will miss.  However, i will not miss paying $6.00 a gallon for gas or exorbitant roaming charges on my ipad.
