I still owe a posting for yesterday.
We are leaving Lake Tahoe now, heading for Ely in Nevada.
Little problem at 1 am last night. As we slept 10 feet away, a big black bear attempted to get into the Defender. Fortunately, he or she only tore the plastic window on the left rear off the zipper, thus the two orange clips serving a useful purpose. What a good bear he was. And when i blew the whistle, he or she obeyed and quietly walked away. More in my report.
We are taking route 50 east. I just might take it all the way. It runs past 4 blocks from my home in DC.
