Day 6, Tuesday, September 9, Champlain Provincial Park, near North Bay, Ontario, Canada, 992 miles.

Really bright full moon last night.  With my yellow tent, it seemed like we were sleeping inside a light bulb. Couldn't see a single star moon was so bright.  Wonderful sight, though: the moon, the lake, the surrounding shore. Nothing else.

Erde continues to meet dogs all along the way.  Today she met George and  Goby at Brent Camp, whom she met last year.  Also, she met Abby after we arrived at lake Champlain Provincial Park for the night. She more than met Abby, she ate her food, one of Erde's pesky habits on these trips, all of which she gets away with from now on.  Abby is traveling with Joe and Monica from Ottawa, who invited us over for some conversation, wine snd Swiss chocolates, treats i could not resist.

When my AC conked  out in NY, i decided to iwait till i got to Mattawa, Ontario, 750 miles distant, to have it checked out at Terry's garage on the highway. Terry remembered me from two years ago when he installed my headlight. As it turns out, it was the blower itself that went bad, so Erde may  have to make do without an AC till next summer, unless i can order a new blower for delivery to Thunder Bay, and then have it installed somewhere else on the way.  I certainly will not need it in the Rockies, where they already had snow i understand.

Only travelled 40 or so miles today so i could take care of the AC.  At least now i know what the problem is and i don't to have to worry about it any more.

Moderate drive tomorrow.  Heading off to Killarney Provincial Park, where we stayed in 2012.

some photos below include: Erde and Abby bonding at Champlain Provincial Park, Erde relaxing in Lake George.  Leben was the only one to lie down in the water before.   Erde inherited this habit from him.
